Ascart House (Ancestors + Living Members)[]

Carter Ascart[]

Carter is Roel's father. Initially, Roel was a tyrant who used Carter's high status to do whatever he pleased but changed when Carter brought Alicia to the house and Roel regained memories of a past life. Carter is worried for Roel's future as he is constantly surrounded by influential figures such as Nora and Charlotte as well as Alicia, who Carter knows the potential of. Carter becomes emotional on any sign of affection from Roel and greatly worries over him as a father.

Ponte Ascart[]

Roel's Ancestor who supported Queen Victoria Xeclyde. Writes down his perverted thoughts, suspected to possibly be alive in seclusion together with Victoria Xeclyde.

Ro Ascart[]

One of Roel's ancestors who inherited the Ascart bloodline and was a member of the Twilight Sages Assembly and the last ringbearer of the Blackrose Ring.

Winstor Ascart[]

One of Roel's ancestors who inherited the Ascart bloodline and was a member of the Twilight Sages Assembly known as 'Fief Lord'. Was the fiancé of Isabella Sofya.

Lucent Arde[]

One of Roel's ancestors. One of the founding members of the Twilight Sages Assembly and the first Leader of the Assembly.

Love Interest(s)[]

Alicia Ascart[]

Alicia is Roel's sister. Originally, Roel started to become close to her in order to prevent the bad relationship the Eyes of the Chronicler's Roel had with his sister and she was also a good source of Affection Points for his House Resurgence System. Despite all this, he does care for her as a sister. Alicia wants Roel to rely on her more instead of potentially harming himself (such as when he went into a coma after drinking the Lobor Serums).

She does not want Roel to get close to any of her love rivals. When she saw that Roel and Nora were in an intimate position when they came back, she threw a tantrum, which is very much unlike her.

After Alicia took advantage of Roel in Rosa, he realized that Alicia was too old. He started to restrict what Alicia could and could not do. For example, after the incident in Rosa, he forbade her from getting on top of his bed.

When Alicia found out that Roel was in a weak state, she left in pursuit of him. She was willing to fight Lilian in Eirbower Dukedom after she found her brother.

Roel is weak to Alicia's requests and despite knowing how wrong it is, is used to waking up while Alicia is sleeping next to him even though he set up barriers the night before.

Nora Xeclyde[]

Nora is the princess of the Saint Mesit Theocracy, she became interested in Roel after her initial visit to the Ascart Manor. Roel is a frequent victim of her sadism.

Roel is often tempted by Nora's seductive charm but holds himself back because he believes that is what the tyrant Roel would do. To prevent his fate of death, he avoids anything that the tyrant Roel would do. Eventually, their relationship becomes of buddies who knew each others' secrets.

After the March Turmoil Witness State, Nora started to love Roel instead of simply take interest in him. She became his protector and used her authority to put Roel under Tier 1 protection, available only to the Royal Family. She gifted him part of an army consisting of a hundred Origin Level 5 transcendents. As an additional "safety measure", the two send each others a minimum of two letters a month. Roel averages around 4 letters a month to avoid disrespecting her by sending the lower limit of 2.

Nora found out by a letter sent anonymously by Paul Ackermann and Geralt Stephenson that Roel had supposedly run away from the Academy to elope with Lilian but did not believe that Roel was the type of person to do such a thing. Nevertheless, she left in pursuit of him. Nora was initially disappointed in Roel for seemingly leaving without informing either Charlotte or Nora. She and Charlotte temporarily "broke up" with him because she realized he did not trust her and Charlotte. Soon, Roel told them that he was afraid of losing the two of them and now they are "lovers" again. Soon after, Nora was terrified of what could have happened if Roel did not speak up at the end believing that she was going to simply leave a warning to Roel. This was also a trick that Nora worked together with Charlotte to make Roel acknowledge her as "lover".

Charlotte Sorofya[]

Charlotte is Roel's fiancé by contract that the Ascart House and the Sorofya House. Initially, Roel did not want to marry Charlotte as he believed that the tyrant Charlotte would have. Roel was also afraid of Nora and Alicia hating him in the end because of it. Charlotte did not want to marry Roel either since Grace had been tricked.

Roel and Charlotte started to work together in order to uncover more information regarding the Twilight Sages Assembly and the Golden Fleet which could help Charlotte significantly. Charlotte fell in love with Roel during the Witness State.

Charlotte found out by a letter sent anonymously by Paul Ackermann and Geralt Stephenson that Roel had supposedly run away from the Academy to elope with Lilian. Due to her past trauma with failing marriages of her aunts and other family members, Charlotte was shook up from the news but brought back to her senses thanks to Nora. She left the Academy to pursue Roel along with Nora. Charlotte, like Nora, was initially disappointed in Roel for seemingly leaving without informing the two of them. She and Nora temporarily "broke up" with him because she realized he did not trust her and Nora to keep his weak state a secret. Soon, Roel told them that he was afraid of losing the two of them and now they are "lovers" again. This was also a trick that Charlotte worked together with Nora to make Roel acknowledge her as "lover".

Lilian Ackermann[]

Lilian first met Roel when Roel first entered the Academy. The two shared a bloodline resonance though they did not know it was with each other. They initially were rivals as they are both Ringbearers. Lilian is generally cold towards men and that included Roel. This caused an issue since Roel was instructed by Ro Ascart to impregnate her.

Upon Chris's request, Lilian started tutoring Roel and unknowingly became closer and closer to him. Roel reached to her for help regarding one of the requests received by the Request Club. After dealing with the matter, Lilian found out that Roel was her bloodline kin. Lilian, who desperately needed familial love, became much more affectionate with Roel since then. The two were transported to a Witness State that occurred during the Second Deviant War and encountered many problems there. During the Witness State, Lilian became much closer to Roel believing that it was a product of their bloodline resonance. At the end of the Witness State, Lilian realized that she loved Roel despite seeing him as a sibling.

Returning from the Witness State, Roel had turned into a small boy as a side effect of one of his spells, Tempest Caller. Worried that the world will pursue Roel due to its greed for youth, Lilian and Roel are ran away until Roel returned to his original form. Later, they return to the Academy and Lilian was disappointed to find that Chris decided to tutor Roel personally.

Her father becomes suspicious of her relationship with Roel and Lilian resolves herself not to involve herself with him anymore. Later, in a mission with several other people, Roel is attacked and loses consciousness, Lilian finds out from Artasia that the only way to save him would be to sleep with him, which she does in Chapter 469.

Saint Freya Academy[]

Antonio Wyatt[]

Antonio is the principal of the Academy Roel attends. He is also a former member of the Twilight Sages Assembly under the name "Guardian" and is looking for a way to wake Astrid Arde. Because of this, he needs Roel's help. Antonio has kept his eye on Roel since he heard that he awakened the Ascart bloodline and confirmed it once he arrived in Saint Freya Academy. This caused a stir in Knight Kingdom Pendor.

Antonio planned to slowly help Roel and introduce him to social circles in Pendor but was amazed by his capabilities. Not only was Roel very strong but he was also very charismatic and knowledgeable of his own House. He was also surprised to hear Roel mention Astrid and her state, which should have been a secret.

Paul Ackermann[]

Paul, as the main protagonist of Eyes of the Chronicler, was meant to defeat Roel, the first villain of the game, with the capture targets. Since Roel was set on changing his fatal destiny, he befriended Paul, giving him no reason to target him.

Paul has been very grateful to Roel since they knew each other. Eventually Paul joined the Bluerose Faction and formed the Request Club with Geralt Stephenson and many others.

Geralt Stephenson[]

Geralt joined the Request Club early on. Roel knew about him from Eyes of the Chronicler and knew that his fiancée Brittany was coming to Saint Freya Academy.

Later he decides to help their relationship in order to get close to Brittany and therefore to William.

Rose of Dawn[]

The Dawnbringer Order wishes for Roel to join them and even lead them as the awakener of the Ascart bloodline though Roel refused because he did not know enough about the members and even disagreed with their method of operations.

Wilhelmina Cambonyte[]

Roel met Wilhelmina with Teresa in Eirbower Dukedom a little before he returned to Saint Freya Academy.

Currently Roel knows Wilhelmina by her male alias, William. He does not know her appearance or gender because she wears armor all the time. Wilhelmina cares about Roel due to her House's vow to protect those of the Ascart bloodline. She wishes Roel to join the Dawnbringer Order and lead the group but at the same time, she wants him to follow the same ideals of the group and fight with them and lead them to glory.

Since William and Roel disagree on a lot, there is usually tension between the two. Unknown to William, Roel believes that he should get closer to William due to the Blessing of the Goddess of Fate, an item he bought from the Affection Shop.

Teresa[]

Like Wilhelmina, Teresa met Roel in Eirbower Dukedom.

Relative to Wilhelmina, Teresa is nicer to Roel. There is no tension between the two. Teresa is often flustered talking to Roel, blushing frequently. She wishes to alleviate the tension between William and Roel. She told Roel that Wilhelmina cares about him but would not elaborate in consideration for Wilhelmina's privacy.

Brittany[]

Roel first saw Brittany when she was introduced to Saint Freya Academy as one of the students coming from Knight Kingdom Pendor.

Through his memories from Eyes of the Chronicler, he knew that Brittany was engaged to Geralt Stephenson though Geralt is extremely afraid of Brittany. Knowing that Brittany really does love Geralt but showing it the wrong way due to the way she was raised, Roel wishes to help Brittany. This would allow him to become closer to William.

Juliana[]

Juliana was one of the students introduced in Saint Freya Academy just like Brittany. Juliana initially disliked Roel and even provoked him but after meeting Alicia, someone who she believed was a true descendant of the Blood Race, she started to respect Roel. After drinking a drop of Roel's blood, Juliana learned about his contracted ancient gods. She spends more time in the Manor and grew closer to Roel, Geralt and Paul.

Kurt Gustav[]

Kurt was one of the students introduced in Saint Freya Academy just like Brittany.

Kurt did not leave a good impression to Roel since under William's orders, Kurt had attacked Paul. Furthermore, he had warned Roel that Grandar was a tyrant. Kurt believed that the records in his clan were true but Roel knew how much of history can be false, thanks to his Origin Attribute.

Selina Bess[]

Selina was one of the students introduced in Saint Freya Academy just like Brittany.

Selina attacked Roel in the preliminary rounds of the Challenger Cup but stopped thanks to Peytra's mana that was able to stop her bloodthirst. Roel asked for help regarding something currently unknown in exchange for curbing her bloodthirst. Selina wished to stay loyal to her comrades but promised to help if he defeated her in the tournament without suppressing her bloodline. Later Roel managed to defeat her.

Stuart[]

Stuart and Roel have had almost no contact but they are not hostile to each other.
