Roel thinks critically of his resources and how he can maximize the use of those resources in order to win a fight. He also knows his limits. Compared to the four capture targets of the Eyes of the Chronicler, Roel feels weak but considering that he was able to reach Origin Level 4 in just a few years when many are unable to reach Origin Level 5, he grew faster than any of the capture targets.
During the Night of the Demons, he was able to figure out that there were several enemies hiding and waiting for the participants to tire out. Time and time again, his near-death experiences has made him reliable and calm against his opponents even when he sees little chance of victory.
House Resurgence System[]
The House Resurgence System, simply addressed as the System, is an ability he awakened soon after he regained his memories of Eyes of the Chronicler. It offers two main shops which Roel can purchase items from:
- Affection Point Exchange Shop: "You can collect the affection intelligent beings carry for you in your vicinity and convert them into points. These points can be used to purchase facilities and items that will aid you in the resurgence of your noble house. The types of affection include kinship, friendship, romance, respect, infatuation, and such. Exchanged items cannot be refunded, so please proceed with caution."
- Gold Coin Shop: "You can use the wealth that you have accumulated in reality to purchase personal goods that include combat-related items, daily life necessities, occupational tools, and such. Purchased items cannot be refunded, so please proceed with caution." Gold coins used to purchase items from the System are redistributed to the gold mines around the world.
The System does not offer an Inventory support so any item that was bought needs to be handled like an ordinary object and can not be given back to the System for storage.
Occasionally giving him discounts and loans when he needs it, the System has helped Roel significantly. The System is said to be fair in pricing it's products. The System's speech is more human than what would expect, often having humor.
Bloodline[]
Originally, Roel did not have a bloodline. Roel awakened his Kingmaker Bloodline (Bronze) in his first witness state with the help of John Xeclyde. Later, he goes into another witness state with Charlotte Sorofya and awakens the Kingmaker (Silver) bloodline.
The Kingmaker’s Bloodline is the Ascart House's hereditary bloodline.
His bloodline allows him to make equal-level contracts with ancient gods. See Contracted Beings section.
His bloodline allows him to go into Witness States including any company he may have:
- These Witness States take him back to a piece of history. His physical body moves there so he can die there.
- Roel disappears from reality as well and returns once the countdown for the Witness State ends or he obtains a perfect (Greater than or equal to 100) score.
- In the Witness State, Roel and whoever that comes with him can not disclose the fact that they are from the future. When Nora tried to tell Victoria Xeclyde that she was an ancestor, she instead said that she was a distant relative which was against her intention.
- Time in the Witness State passes much faster compared to reality. Roel and Nora spent ~70 hours in the Witness State but they disappeared for 1 hour in reality. The time limit for each Witness State varies. It was suggested that the time limit doubled due to Lilian, who also has the Kingmaker bloodline.
- The events of the Witness State does not change the history of the world.
[In the Raws] During his fight against collector shadow and Brian, he got blessing from Shia. When he got chased away by one of the six calamity, he broke the sealed ring and began his 2nd advancement bloodline to Gold rank.

- Peytra is the Primordial Earth Goddess. She was able to scare Sire Darkness, one of the Six Calamities responsible for the destruction for many ancient civilizations.

- Some of her Earth Element Spells
- Artasia is the Witch Queen. She was able to take care of the Origin Level 1 Priestley Maxwell easily.
- Grandar is a giant. He can be summoned and covers Roel like a giant crimson skeleton. As a giant, he is physically very strong. He was able to take down an injured Wade, an Origin Level 2 with a single punch in the 1st Witness State. Powers provided to Roel:
- According to Grandar, the contract is of mutual interest. Roel can tap into the being's powers and the being return to the world through Roel. Typically, there is a medium required for the invocation of the contract but Roel did not have any item. It was suggested that he can make contracts with these beings due to his bloodline.
- The gods that are contracted are acknowledged by the Kingmaker Clan, though there are exceptions such as Artasia.
- Thanks to his contracts, Roel's array of offense and defense magic expanded significantly. There is some magic that he uses frequently such as Peytra's blessing that increases his Origin Level as well as Grandar's strength.
Origin Attribute: Crown[]
- Unique Trait: 【Reclamation of Glory: A warrior from ancient times has returned. A power that has vanished, after passing down from hand to hand, finally returns to its homeland.】
- Roel awakened the Ascart House's Origin Attribute, Crown. By reading true pieces of history he can progress his Origin Level. Doing this over years, Roel has become very knowledgeable. Awakening this Origin Attribute is extremely rare. So far, with the exception of Roel, only Ro was revealed to have the Crown Attribute.
- As Crown is a Bloodline Origin Attribute, it is considered to be the perfect fit for Kingmaker bloodline.
- The purity and prowess of the Crown Attribute is considered to be superior compared to the Austine Empire's Kingdom Attribute as the nightglow butterfly incubated by Roel's mana was more beautiful and Grandar considered Kingdom to be trash in comparison to Crown.

Chapter 51 A light red color meant ‘An enemy has revealed his killing intent, but you aren’t his primary target’. A normal red color meant ‘An enemy has directed his killing intent right at you’. A dark red color meant ‘An enemy carries great killing intent toward you, and you’re his primary target’. |

| Glacier Touch | This spell was obtained through assimilating a portion of the powers of a terrifying ancient calamity. When Glacier descends, the world is silenced. Releases directed frost aura in the vicinity. It can manifest in any form for offensive and defensive purposes. The area and strength of the frost aura is decided by the user’s mana.
Roel obtained this spell when he absorbed the Egg of the Glacier Creator, one of the Six Calamities during his 2nd Witness State. This gained him an ability, "Glacier Touch" that freezes it's opponents. This has side effects as well so Roel uses it only if necessary. Charlotte is able to dull the effects but she is not a cure. | Time Devourer | "The ancient monster, Tempest Caller, siphons away time with each of its breaths." Roel obtained this spell when he absorbed another Crown Stone in the 3rd Witness State. It accelerates the time of matter of the object the spell is directed at.
Effects: Steals time and accelerates aging. The rate of aging depends on the physical constitution of the individual, the strength and concentration of the wind, and various other factors. Side Effects: The side effects turn Roel into a small boy. Obtained in Chapter 316 |

Personal Army[]
Nora, as Roel's protector, gifted Roel a hundred man personal army where even the weakest soldier was Origin Level 5. Of course, this army can not help him with sudden events or in places that they have no access to such as the Witness State. As the Holy Son, he also has access to the Unyielding Cult and Strength Cult.
Body Enhancement[]
[In the Raws] During Roel's witness state to the origin war of Savior and the Mother Goddess, he suffered a collateral injury that wouldn't be possible to recover from after defeating Savior with the help of the six divine envoys. But due to the Mother Goddess' help, he was able to gain treasures from the other origin level 1s highland elves. That allowed him to recover from his physical and spiritual damage caused by the backlash of using all of the peak calamities powers. The first gift that came from Michelle was the 'Sage's stone' it is a fantasy material that can create miracles, 'Primitive Blood' it enhances Roel's regenerative abilities in generating blood, muscle, and skin tissues, 'God's Spinal Cord' strengthens the bones, and lastly 'Forge Heart' it strengthens the heart and all of it's regenerative abilities boosting Roel's body to a superhuman level even without the origin crown attribute(Dear magnanimous raw novel readers please don't kill me if either one of the details are wrong wuwu T-T, correct it if I got any of the information wrong but we all know that the treasures gained from the Savior vs Mother Goddess witness state was to strengthen our boy Roel's combat and health capabilities to a superhuman level hehehe and also his bed love-making powers :).
