Nora Xeclyde is one of the female leads in Little Tyrant Doesn't Want to Meet With a Bad End, as well as one of the female capture targets in Eyes of the Chronicler. Her mother died during labor and so Nora generally hated people making a fuss during her birthday.
She is the princess and future head of the Xeclyde House as well as the future Holy Eminence of the Saint Mesit Theocracy. With exceptional talent, looks and bloodline she is known as a person favored by the gods as if she were born with all the gifts the world had to offer.
Known only to a few, she is a sadist. A frequent victim of her sadism is Roel.
Due to an ancient contract, she has a duty to protect Roel since he awakened the Ascart Bloodline until adulthood.
Appearance and Personality[]
"The concepts of good and evil blurred when it came to Nora Xeclyde. She treated those who were close to her kindly and, at the same time, would never hesitate to stand up against evil. But, on the other hand, it was hard for anyone to claim that she was a good person; not after witnessing the mountains of corpses and rivers of blood left in her wake following a violent rampage, especially with the knowledge that she relished in it." Nora has golden hair and sapphire eyes. She is described as a dignified young lady who has an aura of compelling authority. Due to her beautiful looks and excellent talent she was revered as the Queen and Golden Sun of the Saint Mesit Theocracy by many of the academy students in Eyes of the Chronicler. When she turned 12, she was much more mature.
However, her personality is one of a sadist who derives great joy from inflicting pain and embarrassment on others, but due to her position as the princess of the Saint Mesit Theocracy and leader of the younger generation she has been repressing these feelings. Due to her high talent as a transcendent and position as the successor of the Xeclyde House, she has always been surrounded by nobles praising her superficially with the intention of getting close to her made her find them boring.
Nora is very mature and despite not having any experience in relationships, does not act like it. She approached Roel about her concerns of how he left Saint Freya Academy without informing Roel or Charlotte and almost broke up (even though they were not in a relationship) with him. Though, this was a trick to Roel so that Roel would acknowledge Nora as a lover.
Compared to Charlotte who got embarrassed around procreation products, Nora was indifferent.
She gets frustrated with her relationship with Roel as she rarely has time for one, being the Princess of the Theocracy.
Background[]
Nora Xeclyde had been fed with a golden spoon her whole life, as a daughter of the royal family and the future emperor. Since many met her intending to get closer to her, she found the faces of others' boring and found pleasure whenever they became flustered. She started to learn more of her nature but could not have shown it outwardly in consideration of her family. She waited until one day, she would meet someone who was also wearing a mask like her. This would turn out to be Roel.
Nora was relatively strong even at her introduction. While not confirmed, her Origin Level was likely 5, two levels higher than Roel. In those days, she was also training at the Holy Knights Order. In fact, she was taking a break when visiting the Ascarts' manor initially.
History[]
She was introduced in the novel in her visit to the Ascarts' manor. Roel, having knowledge of Nora's personality, decided to keep his distance from her since he believed the tyrant Roel would have tried to get closer.
She began to take interest in him after noticing that he is very different from the other nobles through her lie detecting artifact leading her to become more open with him and discussed with Roel about her sadism. This eventually led to Roel becoming the main target of her 'affection' since she began to trust that he wouldn't spread her interests to harm her position as he acknowledges her interests.
Currently she is the leader of the Goldenrose Faction in Saint Freya Academy.
Powers and Abilities[]
She is a prodigy since birth. She reached Origin Level 5 4-5 years before the average Academy student would reach Origin Level 5. She has the Angel bloodline that has the potential to be gold-tier as long as it is awakened. After the March Turmoil Witness State with Roel, she awakened the silver-tier bloodline. Because Nora awakened her bloodline at such a young age, Victoria mentioned that Nora's talents surpass Wade and herself. In comparison, Wade was able to reach Origin Level 2 in the Witness State. As a possessor of this bloodline, she has an ability to foretell danger. Nora had undergone the Restoration of Primordial Bloodline, making her the most talented Xeclyde in the past thousand years.Nora surpassed the talent of the Nora in Eyes of the Chronicler. She started to awaken her bloodline to gold rank approaching the end of the first year in Saint Freya Academy in comparison to the end of the second year in the game. After undergoing seraphication, Nora became insanely strong. With just her angelic mana, she was able to shatter the World Serpent from the inside, previously believed to be impossible.
Roel knew that he would stand no chance against her when he was still Origin Level 4. Two of the three ancient gods also believed they stand no chance against her because she had completed her restoration of the primordial bloodline reminding them of the Angel King. The only one that could stand his ground was Grandar thanks to his undead reanimation. Her mana can cover the sky golden. She posed such a threat that Artasia plead Roel to kill Nora, saying that she was beyond saving and that they could die against her.
Her mana materializes as wings of light.
She does not use any form of equipment though she received a short sword from Roel in reciprocation of Ascendwing. It was forged with top-quality glacial metal, which was known for its exorbitant price. The short sword had a razor-sharp edge that reflected a cold glint, and its short length made it convenient for a young noble to bring it around with her for self-protection. It came together with a blackwood sheath that was beautifully adorned with gold and jade. It is not usable beyond for utility and the Xeclyde House can find a find a better short sword without much difficulty.
Ascendwing's second ability was unlocked during the protector ceremony. It was an exchange of gifts where Roel Ascart received gifts relating to the Angel's bloodline and Nora got a gift relating the Crown Origin Attribute. They System's description of Nora's gift given by Roel:

This ability is beneficiary to Roel only but Nora is still happy with it since she is able to talk to Roel with it. Nora uses the first ability of Crown's Bestowment to talk with Roel every week because she is unable to meet him due to her busy schedule. The time limit is five minutes.
She gained a lot of combat experience early on as she trained in the Holy Knight Order and fought deviants during the two years after Roel became the proxy fief lord.
Trivia[]
- Her Goldenrose Faction is made up of nobles of the Theocracy. The Theocracy handed out scholarships to allow poorer nobles to pay the exorbitant academy fees to attend Saint Freya Academy at the same time as Nora.
- She was baptised on the 5th of June. This was the date she told Roel to indicate their closeness and to prevent the potential fury of Kane and John to be directed on Roel.
- They slept together in chapter 582.
