Artasia is the Witch Queen, as well as Roel Ascart's third contracted ancient god.
“Allow me to introduce myself once more, then,” the Witch Queen sneered in response. She stood dignified as tremendous power burst from her. “I am Artasia Ascart, the Witch Queen and the ruler of the Unified Human Empire Saint Tanar. I am one of the Twin Child Gods who would siphon your powers in the future. Last but not least, I am the daughter of humankind’s final saint whom you killed, Roel Ascart, and Lilian Ackermann.”
Artasia to Savior
Appearance and Personality[]
Artasia is repeatedly described to have the madder red eyes.
Witches are said to be born from Sia's shadow, and they are often associated with being dangerous and enigmatic.
Artasia appears to be a young woman around 17 to 18 years old, and she has long white hair and crimson lips. Her dress-up is typical of a young noblewoman.
She is a manipulative person, as could be seen from her attempts to first put on a facade to lower Roel's guard before showing him the allure of power in order to entice him into sacrificing Lilian Ackermann in exchange of power.
However, she has an innocent aspect to her as well. Her ability to read the minds of others, with the exception of Roel due to the power of the Crown Origin Attribute, resulted in her never being able to experience what is it like to be a young woman in love, and she enjoyed the process of attempting to guess Roel's preferences during their date in order to win him over.
Witches have a fixation that they are obsessed with, and Artasia's fixation is in the concept of dilemma. She derives satisfaction and pleasure from seeing others being placed in a dilemma, though she claims that she earnestly hopes that Roel is able to overcome his dilemma.
She addresses him as her hero and views him as a protagonist of a story. Like in a story where the protagonist goes through hardships but overcomes them in the end, she wishes Roel to overcome his dilemmas in the end as well.
She is one of the twin daughters Roel had with Lilian in another timeline. In that timeline, Roel dies in the final war and she is raised by Lilian as a single mother. She comes to the the original timeline to save her father from dying.
In the original timeline, according to her, Lilian will have only a single child and she will not be born.
Powers and Abilities[]
She understands the fundamentals of the world and how it works. When she was reincarnated in the Witness State through Lilian, she was easily able to overpower Priestley Maxwell who was a Origin Level 1 transcendent by creating a contradiction.
Trivia[]
- When Artasia asked Roel Ascart his name in their first meeting, Peytra warned him not to tell her. It turns out that Artasia has an ability to read into minds if she learns of the other party's real name.
- Artasia was disconnected by "Collector" because she is the only person able to protect Roel from arial-domain type curses which take a long time to prepare.
- Artasia is suspected of being connected with the future child of Roel and also described by Idavia as not being "present" in the books of soul after her death.
- Artasia is the only one of Roel's contracted ancient gods to express direct romantic interest in him. She categorically denies any blood relation to him, reasoning that her removal of her previous cause and effect along with her recreation of her body in this timeline rendered any bloodline tie nonexistent.
